Using designer markers and tablet drawing mediums, this assignment focuses on rendering interior spaces with a specific narrative vision in mind through multiple rendering mediums. ​

Design Concept

This narrative vision focuses on the emphasis of spatial atmosphere in relations to emotional experience of the user as he or she navigates from the stairs beyond the building grounds through to the inner halls of the Main Building, taking notice of the beautiful ornamentation and subtle drama played forth from the historical ornamentation and statuettes among notable landmarks of the space. The color palette revolves mainly around the juxtaposition between a peachy red and cyan blue range. The peachy red invokes passion, romance, and drama without coming forth as overbearing, whereas the cyan blue provides a more spacious and mysterious undertone to the visions, bringing with it an almost sad tint to the narration. The result of this juxtaposition along with the stylized smoke screen designs become a story on their own - a story filled with history, awe, drama, and most important a subtle hint of morose, a common element most things of historical value tend to share. ​ ​
